A new format will be introduced at Content Americas, according to plans revealed today by Sony Pictures Television (SPT), Sony Music Entertainment (SME), and 360 PowWow, an independent producer of premium content in Latin America. SPT will distribute the new reality series, which will be created by 360 PowWow in collaboration with SPT and Sony Music's Premium Content Division.
Each episode features a team of professionals that crash a lucky couple's wedding to make the happiest day of their lives even better. They do this with the assistance of friends, family members, and a musical superstar. Each week, viewers will get to know a worthy couple's backstory and get a peek at the top-secret planning for the biggest surprise of their wedding: a special performance by a Sony Music Latin artist just for the bride and groom.
“Buyers have been clamoring for feel-good content. With this uplifting format, we are making the best day in the lives of deserving couples even better with the help of their favorite music artists, all while giving viewers an inside look at the wedding process. We are excited to team up with our sister business Sony Music and with the well-respected production veterans at 360 PowWow to bring this unique format to life,” said Selina Nederhand, SVP & Co-Networks Head, Content Strategy and Acquisitions, SPT LATAM.
“We are thrilled to be a part of this project and bring our incredible roster of artists to such a unique and original programming series,” Ruben Leyva, Senior Vice President, Artist Services and Premium Content, Sony Music Latin. “Together with SPT and 360 PowWow, we have a great opportunity to create an unforgettable experience for unsuspecting couples. I look forward to seeing this journey unfold.”
“This is an ambitious, entertaining and exciting show. We found our ideal partners in Sony Pictures and Sony Music and we are very proud to present this great format within the framework of Content Americas,” said Adrian Santucho, Chief Creative Officer of 360 POWWOW.
This week in Miami, SPT, SME, and 360 PowWow will introduce the format to potential purchasers.
