Buchanan’s Blended Scotch Whisky is officially in game mode, kicking off a bold celebration in the lead-up to the FIFA World Cup 2026™. Teaming up with legendary fútbol announcer Andrés Cantor—the voice behind that famous “¡Gooooool!”—the brand just rolled out el Buchamión, a 27-foot music truck cruising through city blocks with one goal: bring Latino energy to the streets, one chant at a time.
Starting in New York City and heading next to Mexico City, the campaign blends fútbol, culture, and a little bit of mischief, thanks to a booming remix of Cantor’s custom chant: “¡Nos Vamos al Mundial de la FIFA 2026™!” blasting from 16 speakers.
A Rolling Party with Latin Flavor
Modeled after the classic pregoneros—trucks that drive through Latin American neighborhoods playing ads or music—the Buchamión is wrapped in fútbol-inspired art from LA-based creative group Kids of Immigrants. It’s part celebration, part throwback, and 100% Latin energy.
On its first run through NYC boroughs like Brooklyn and Queens, fans were met with live music, surprise merch drops, free cocktails (for those 25+), and even a chance to win World Cup tickets. The challenge? See who could hold their “goooooool” yell the longest.
The final stop of the day featured a surprise DJ set by Colombia’s DJ Pope, turning the truck into a dance floor.
Win World Cup Tickets with a Goal Dance
If you missed the Buchamión in person, you can still be part of the hype. Buchanan’s launched a national Dance Contest, inviting fans 25 and older to share their best goal celebration moves at spiritspromos.com/buchanans/dance-contest. Seven winners will score up to four tickets each to a Group Stage match in the U.S., plus a $6,500 e-gift card.
The contest is open until February 28, 2026.
For Those Who'd Rather Toast Than Dance
Not a dancer? No problem. Raise a glass with La Buchanita, a cocktail Buchanan’s created just for this fútbol season. Here’s the simple recipe:
La Buchanita
- 1½ oz Buchanan’s 12-Year DeLuxe
- 4 oz fresh pineapple juice
- Garnish with a pineapple leaf
Shake it with ice, pour into a rocks glass, and you’re set.
What This Means for Fans
Linda Lagos-Morales, Buchanan’s Brand Director, said it best: “We’re proud to celebrate the Latino way of watching, feeling, and living fútbol.” And that’s what this campaign is about—bringing people together through fútbol, music, and shared pride.
The Buchamión will continue its route in 2025 and 2026, with stops planned in five U.S. FIFA host cities: Miami, Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas, and Chicago.
