Clarissa Molina, a television presenter, actress, and model, who is a fan of baseball and supports her team, threw the first pitch of the game between her country of origin, the Dominican Republic, and Israel on Tuesday, March 14. This event was part of the World Baseball Classic fever, and Molina became the first woman of the 2023 season to throw the first pitch during a game. She left the television cameras aside to show support for her team and was part of the first pitch during the game at LoanDepot Park in the City of Miami.

Molina, who took the field of play to the rhythm of Toño Rosario's iconic hymn "Kulikitaka," had the honor and privilege of sharing the moment with some of the players from her team, such as Diaz (#46) and shortstop, Wander Franco (#5), who also accompanied Clarissa during the launch. They received a standing ovation from the audience.

Clarissa expressed her joy in being able to throw the first ball in a World Classic and said, "For me, it was a dream not only for me but for my dad, for my brothers, since baseball is part of my growth, of our culture, it is something we carry in our blood." She recalled moments from her childhood, saying, "I remember when I was little, falling asleep on the legs of my Mom in different baseball stadiums in the Dominican Republic while my brothers fulfilled their dreams as baseball players, playing in all the plays in San Pedro, In Santiago, in the capital, apart from the Cibao stadium to see the Águilas Cibaeñas."

Prior to the game, Clarissa had the opportunity to communicate with Pedro Martinez, the former Dominican Major League Baseball pitcher, 8-time All-Star, and 2004 World Series champion, who gave her several tips and virtual training on how to achieve success on the field of play. Her family from El Gordo y La Flaca also showed their support and pride by preparing a special segment for her, in which Lily and Raul also demonstrated their baseball skills with the presenter.

Clarissa Molina is a great example of self-improvement and a representative for all women who fight to fulfill their dreams regardless of the obstacles they may face. She continues to surprise and inspire many people with her achievements.
