Frank Di Takes Home "Gaviota de Plata" Award for Best Folkloric Performance

Frank Di, a Mexican singer, won the Best Performer award in the folkloric competition of the LXII Viña del Mar International Song Festival for his song 'La Última Gota'. The Tijuana-born artist received the approval of the jury and the public in Chile, winning the Best Interpreter award in one of the most competitive editions of the Viña del Mar Festival in recent years. Frank Di reached the final with the representatives of Chile and Peru, with the latter country winning the first prize for the song sung by the singer Milena Wharton.

After a week and three consecutive performances, Frank Di was awarded Best Performer in the root music competition for his song 'La Última Gota'. The artist performed in front of around 15,000 people and different audiences summoned by international show artists, receiving support and congratulations from other artists such as Yuri, his musical godmother from her experience in La Voz México, who dedicated several messages to his participation in the Chilean festival.

Frank Di gained fame in his country as a contestant on the television shows La Voz, Tengo Talento Mucho Talento and La Academia, where since his adolescence, he stood out for his interpretive audacity, voice and personality. The singer has developed a professional career and has a series of singles with which he has toured Mexico, blending the mariachi tradition and regional pop with elements of ballads and more danceable rhythms. He also worked in great shows such as "Opera Prima Rock Tributo a Queen" and his most recent release 'Dejémoslo así', an original hit in the voice of Edith Márquez, covered with the singer Griss Romero. Frank Di's career has marked a new milestone with his award, and he will return to Mexico with this accomplishment.
