A raised glass closed the U.S. leg of Karol G’s Viajando Por El Mundo TropiTour on Thursday night at AT&T Stadium, billed as the tour’s Dallas date. The drink was 200 Copas by Casa Dragones, a cristalino tequila named for her 2021 hit, and the toast came in front of thousands of fans, according to the brand. Casa Dragones gave no attendance figure.
The Arlington show was the last U.S. stop on a stadium run that began July 24 at Soldier Field in Chicago, as reported by Remezcla. The run follows Karol G’s April headlining slot at Coachella and supports her 2025 album Tropicoqueta. Live Nation’s tour announcement called her the first Latina to headline the festival and said her previous world tour sold more than 2.3 million tickets across 62 shows. The tequila has a shorter history. Casa Dragones said 200 Copas debuted on Sept. 25, 2025, when Karol G raised its first toast during a four-night residency at the Crazy Horse cabaret in Paris, the end of what the brand called a three-year journey.
Karol G turns a friendship anthem into a stadium toast
Casa Dragones described the Dallas toast as an introduction to the song “200 Copas,” one that brought the story behind the tequila full circle. The brand calls the track multiplatinum and says it began as a celebration of friendship and connection. Karol G has framed it the same way. When the tequila was announced, The Daily Pour reported, she said she was “surrounded by my closest friends” while making the song’s video. The idea for the bottle came out of that shoot, according to an interview in Forbes Life Colombia with her and Casa Dragones founder Bertha González Nieves.
Casa Dragones makes its cristalino debut as the tour’s official tequila
Casa Dragones calls 200 Copas the official tequila of the tour and its first cristalino. The company says it is made from 100% Blue Weber agave and aged more than 12 months in custom American oak barrels. Cristalino is aged tequila that is filtered, often through activated charcoal, to strip the color it picks up in the barrel, Mexico News Daily explained at launch. Batches are capped at 500 cases, and the agave grows in the volcanic soil of Tequila, Jalisco, Chilled magazine reported. At a launch weekend in San Miguel de Allende, Casa Dragones listed the tasting notes as roasted agave, almond and plum.
The partnership is what the brand leans on. Its release calls the project “a first-of-its-kind entrepreneurial collaboration” between Karol G and González Nieves, the company’s CEO and founder. Casa Dragones presents González Nieves as the first woman recognized as a Maestra Tequilera. Celebrity-backed spirits are a crowded shelf. This one leads with an origin story, and the song is the hook. Time Out Mexico reported the cristalino would appear in VIP rooms and serve as the official afterparty drink on the tour.
The U.S. dates are done. The tour is not. The international leg opens in Monterrey, Mexico, on Nov. 6, the Los Angeles Times reported, and the itinerary runs into July 2027, according to elsalvador.com. For a 2021 single, that is a long second act. The song now has a bottle and a brand partner, and Thursday showed it can still anchor a stadium moment.
