The international stage is set for a new sound. “Desire,” the official anthem of FIFA’s Club World Cup, will make its debut at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, just ahead of the opening match on June 14. The song was written and performed by Robbie Williams, a name well-known across pop music, who invited Italian superstar Laura Pausini to join the track for a special Spanish-language verse.

This marks the first time FIFA has released a global anthem to accompany all its events, including the upcoming 2026 World Cup and future tournaments.

Laura Pausini Joins a Global Stage

Laura Pausini, one of Italy’s most internationally awarded artists, shared her excitement about collaborating with Williams. “It’s an honor to join my voice with an icon like Robbie,” she said. “The song he created is beautiful and moving. The Spanish verse felt very natural to sing.”

For Pausini, this collaboration isn’t just a performance — it’s also personal. “Since I was a little girl, I’ve felt the excitement of our league. Italy lives and breathes football. Now, I get to represent our legendary clubs in this way. It’s emotional.”

From the Studio to the Stadium

The “Desire” anthem won’t just live in playlists. It’s been designed to set the tone for the players’ entrance onto the pitch at all FIFA tournaments going forward. A music video will also premiere on the stadium’s big screens, bringing even more energy to the opening moments of each match.

Live Performance at the Final

Robbie Williams and Laura Pausini will perform “Desire” live for the first time during the FIFA Club World Cup final at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on July 13. It will be a rare chance to see two of music’s global figures come together on one of the world’s biggest stages.

Pausini, whose career spans over three decades and includes more than 75 million albums sold, has long used her platform to support major cultural events. This collaboration adds another moment to her international legacy.
