Warner Music Latina welcomes Charly Pérez as their newest addition

Charly Pérez has recently joined Warner Music Latina as a strategic planner responsible for creating promotion plans for the company's artists and individuals on various media platforms, targeting both business and consumer audiences. Pérez will work closely with Ruben Abraham, the SVP of Marketing and Artist Strategy, and Hector Ruben Rivera, the SVP and Head of A&R, Latin Music, both of whom report to Andrade Dirak. Pérez has a sterling reputation in the Latin music world, known for his extensive knowledge, integrity, and professionalism.

He has an eye for identifying emerging talent, pushing for early coverage of promising new acts like Karol G, Feid, and Sebastian Yatra. With his extensive knowledge of the pop, urban, and regional Mexican markets, he began his career 26 years ago as an assistant in the International department at Televisa, later becoming a label manager. Pérez went on to work for Univision Music Mexico as a label manager, where he focused primarily on regional Mexican music, collaborating with Los Tigres del Norte, Ana Bárbara, Banda El Recodo, and Jenni Rivera. After working his way up the ranks, Pérez was appointed as the National Publicity Director at Univision Music when it was acquired by Universal Music Latin Entertainment.

In 2020, he was promoted to International Vice President of Public Relations and Promotions, overseeing the parent label, Machete Music and Capitol Latin, as well as working closely with regional Mexican labels Fonovisa and Disa. Pérez is delighted to join Warner Music Latina and plans to use his experience to help the company evolve and become a leader in the music and technology space. Andrade Dirak is thrilled to welcome Pérez to the team and believes his knowledge and experience will be an asset in taking Latin music worldwide. Pérez left Universal Music on good terms.
