As the music world continues its ever-evolving dance, there's a non-profit organization, Women In Music (WIM), championing the way. Founded in 1985, WIM is more than just a name; it's a movement, a collective, and above all, a beacon for aspiring women in the music arena. With its mission centered around advancing awareness, equality, diversity, and opportunities, this global organization never stops, and they've just unveiled their latest plans for the year and beyond.
The Mentorship Wave
WIM, in collaboration with Music Managers Forum U.S., introduced the 2023 Fall Mentorship Program on October 2. This two-month initiative bridges the gap between budding talents and established female artist management professionals, taking a bold step in an industry sector traditionally dominated by white males.

A Night to Remember: All Things Go
September 29th marked a significant milestone as WIM partnered with the All Things Go Music Festival. The Creator Summit pre-party at the Eaton Hotel was the talk of the town, bringing panelists, festival enthusiasts, and WIM DC Members under one roof. The festival had a special touch from WIM’s Global Chair of Education and Rock & Alternative, Chissy Nkemere, who added her voice to the Harmonizing Equity panel. The panel, aptly named, honored the diverse roles women occupy in the world of music. Nicole Barsalona, WIM's President, lauded the festival's inclusive spirit, dubbing it a "joyous peek into the future of live music."
