Agua Bendita and Ryan Castro Launch AWAA, a Caribbean-Inspired Capsule Collection

Colombian swimwear brand Agua Bendita and reggaeton and dancehall artist Ryan Castro didn't just put a name on a collection together. Castro came in as creative director, involved from the design of individual pieces to the direction of the campaign. The result is AWAA, a 40-plus piece capsule that launched March 26 across all Agua Bendita retail stores worldwide and online at aguabendita.com.

The name itself is a merge: "AWOO," a signature expression Castro uses, and "AGUA," the root word in Agua Bendita. It's a small detail that says something about how this collaboration was put together. Nothing here feels like it was handed off.

Crafted color, Colombian culture, forty pieces.

The Collection

AWAA spans beachwear, swimwear, ready-to-wear, and accessories for both men and women. The palette pulls from vibrant sunsets, running through yellows, reds, greens, and pinks, with bold graphic blocks and Colombian orchid motifs woven throughout. The visual language is loud in the best possible way, Caribbean-influenced and rooted in the kind of color confidence that both Castro and Agua Bendita have built their aesthetics around.

The standout pieces are the handcrafted swimsuits, each one taking over 16 hours to complete. That's the Agua Bendita side of the equation, a brand known for its artisanal approach and the level of craft that goes into its beachwear. The printed T-shirts bring the streetwear energy, offering an entry point for people who want to wear the collaboration without committing to a full beach look.

More than 40 pieces total, which means there's range here. This isn't a four-item drop with a press release attached.

Medellín's biggest star goes fashion.

Who Ryan Castro Is

For readers who know Castro primarily from his music, the fashion involvement tracks once you understand his trajectory. He launched Ghetto Med, his own clothing line sold exclusively in Medellín, well before this collaboration. Last year, he walked in KidSuper's Spring 2026 show during Paris Men's Fashion Week, becoming the only artist to do so, a moment that placed him firmly in the international fashion conversation.

On the music side, the biography is dense. Castro grew up in Medellín's Pedregal neighborhood, spent time in Curaçao absorbing reggae and dancehall, and broke through with "Morena" in 2017. His hits "Mujeriego" and "Jordan" both landed on the Billboard Global 200 and Spotify's Global Top 50. "QUEMA" with Peso Pluma went Diamond. His debut album El Cantante Del Ghetto is RIAA 2x Platinum certified. Rolling Stone U.S. named him a Future 25 honoree in 2024.

In 2026, "La Villa" from his third album Hopi Sendé peaked at number 31 on Spotify's global chart and hit number one across Latin America. He's not an emerging artist lending his name to a brand. He's one of the biggest Latin artists working right now, and AWAA reflects that level of investment.

The Shared DNA

What makes the Agua Bendita pairing feel natural is that both sides come from the same place culturally, even if the categories are different. Agua Bendita is a Colombian brand built on craft, vibrant design, and a Latin identity that travels internationally. Castro is a Colombian artist whose sound is inseparable from where he's from and where he's been. The Caribbean influences, the color, the attitude, these aren't branding decisions. They're both the real thing.

The AWAA collection also arrives at a moment of momentum for Castro. His Sendé World Tour closes with "De Regreso a Casa," a hometown concert at Medellín's Estadio Atanasio Girardot on April 25, 2026. The collection and the closing show are part of the same chapter.

Where to Get It

AWAA is available now at all Agua Bendita retail stores worldwide and at aguabendita.com. Given the handcrafted nature of some pieces and the limited capsule format, this isn't a collection that's going to sit around waiting.
