Chick-fil-A is stepping into the world of original programming with Play it Forward, a new unscripted family game show designed to bring energy, fun, and community spirit. The five-episode series is now available through the free Chick-fil-A Play App and on YouTube
Sports, Challenges, and Giving Back
Each 30-minute episode follows one family as they take on a variety of physical challenges, from Splashketball to Cherry Launch. The twist comes at the end: instead of keeping the cash prize, families surprise a local hero in their lives by gifting them all their winnings. Heroes range from veterans and mentors to teachers, neighbors, and community leaders who have made a lasting impact
Families and Their Heroes
The show highlights stories like the Omagbemi family from Houston, honoring Randall, a veteran who rallied support during their daughter’s heart surgery, and the Prunier family from Massachusetts, who credit their delivery driver Susan with saving their child’s life. These heartfelt moments blend with the show’s playful competitions, balancing lighthearted fun with powerful storytelling
Why Chick-fil-A Created It
Dustin Britt, Chick-fil-A’s executive director of brand strategy, said the show reflects the company’s mission to serve families beyond its restaurants. “We know there’s a growing need for high-quality, family-friendly content that parents and kids can enjoy together. Play it Forward brings that to life with fun, meaningful stories and the chance to give back,” Britt explained
Expanding Digital Entertainment
The series is part of the growing Chick-fil-A Play App, which offers free family-friendly digital entertainment, including shows, games, music, and interactive experiences. Produced in collaboration with Glassman Media and Sugar23, Play it Forward continues Chick-fil-A’s push into creative storytelling and digital connection with its audience
