Los Tucanes de Tijuana Drop Official Video for "Andamos Ready" with Maffio and Izaak G

Los Tucanes de Tijuana released the official video for their new single "Andamos Ready" on April 17, bringing a Mexico City-filmed visual to a track that had already reached number one on the Hot Song radio chart in the United States before it became available on streaming platforms. The collaboration features producers and artists Maffio and Izaak G, and the release lands at the start of the group's most active international stretch in recent memory.

Los Tucanes de Tijuana have been one of the defining acts in regional mexicano since forming in Tijuana in the late 1980s. According to Billboard, the group built their following through a catalog that pushed narcocorrido themes into the mainstream of Mexican-American music, earning them a devoted audience across the southwestern United States and Mexico over more than three decades of recording and touring. Maffio, born Jorge Luis Maffiotte, is a Dominican-American producer and songwriter whose credits span reggaeton, Latin pop, and urban music, with work alongside artists including Nicky Jam, Daddy Yankee, and Prince Royce. His involvement in "Andamos Ready" represents a deliberate reach across the genre lines that have traditionally separated regional mexicano from the urban Latin market.

Norteño roots, modern crossover sound

Los Tucanes de Tijuana and the Sound of "Andamos Ready"

The official video was filmed in Mexico City and presents the collaboration through what the group describes as a visual that reinforces the track's energy and global character. The single itself was already in circulation on radio before its digital release, which the group's team notes is an uncommon sequence for a regional act. Charting at number one on U.S. Hot Song radio prior to streaming availability suggests the track found traction with program directors before most listeners had a chance to discover it independently.

The production merges the group's established norteño foundation with a contemporary approach that Izaak G, a Colombian singer and songwriter with credits in the urban Latin space, helps push toward a broader audience. The combination does not abandon what Los Tucanes de Tijuana have built. It layers new production logic over a sound that is already recognizable to millions of listeners across North America and Latin America.

The European Tour and the Tucanes Time Global Initiative

The video release arrives alongside the formal announcement of Tucanes Time Europa 2026, described by the group as their first European tour. Confirmed dates include Munich on July 4, Amsterdam on July 5, Paris on July 7, and Barcelona on July 12, with additional stops planned in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The group is also scheduled to perform at the Sueños Festival in Chicago, one of the largest Latin music festivals in the Midwest, which according to its organizers draws audiences from across the country for its annual programming.

The European run represents a significant logistical and commercial commitment for a group whose base has historically been concentrated in the United States and Mexico. Tucanes Time, the larger initiative framing both the single and the tour, is positioned by the group as a sustained effort to reach audiences in South America and Europe alongside their core North American market.

Whether a norteño act with thirty-plus years of catalog can build a meaningful European following is a question the tour will begin to answer this summer. The chart performance of "Andamos Ready" before its digital release suggests the infrastructure to support that push, at least on the radio side, is already in place.
