Tonight in Orlando, FL, the Puerto Rican rapper Alvaro Diaz will perform the final show of his wildly successful debut U.S. headlining tour. The album Sayonara, managed by NEON16 and featuring production from Oceanvi, Jota Rosa, and Caleb Calloway, is set to drop on Universal Music Latino in the new year.
The track was great because it gave me the chance to keep trying out new sounds. This is my first reggaeton single without any guest appearances, and I've been making music for ten years. I'm rocking the signature look I've been sporting on my U.S. tour, which was inspired by some of my all-time favorite movies like Blade, Matrix, and Fight Club, in the video. The new record and my upcoming album are both things I'm very proud of, says Diaz.
“What’s cool about the track is that it allowed me to continue to experiment with new sounds. I’ve been doing music for 10 years and this is the first reggeaton track I drop with no features. In the video, I’m wearing my signature look which I’ve been rocking on my US tour inspired by some of my favorite films such as Blade, Matrix and Fight Club. I’m excited about this record and my upcoming album,” - explains Díaz.
Video for "SUPRA 94TRO," directed by Juanchi Gonzalez and filmed in Orlando, FL, exemplifies why Diáz is regarded as a creative genius and why his innovative style continues to win acclaim from his contemporaries, fans, and critics alike. In the opening scene, we see a drowsy, uninterested lvaro who is thrust into an unexpected situationship with an alien woman who whisks him away in a 1994 Toyota Supra. The video's central message is that Diaz keeps choosing the wrong women as the objects of his affection.
