Atlantis The Royal began its three-day extravaganza of carefully chosen activities and experiences on Friday, Jan. 20, 2023, and it will continue today, Sunday, Jan. 22, 2023. The world's newest and most recognizable ultra-luxury resort, located on the Palm Island in Dubai, was officially opened on Saturday, Jan. 21, at Atlantis The Royal, in addition to the activities that took place on Friday (Kendall Jenner's 818 event, the debut of Nobu, etc.).

Before attending the VIP Beyoncé show, guests dined following the red-carpet event. She gave the opening performance of Etta James' timeless song "During Last" at the grand unveiling of Dubai's newest luxury hotel, Atlantis The Royal. Some of Beyoncé's most career-spanning singles, such as "Halo" and "Crazy in love," continued during her 60-minute set, which was her first live performance since 2018.

The international superstar was supported by Firdaus, a 48-person all-female orchestra under the direction of Academy Award–winning composer, A.R. Rahman, who also provided high-energy choreography and an astounding staging. The Mayyas, an all-female precision dance company from Lebanon that won America's Got Talent, also performed on stage with breathtaking choreography by Emmy-nominated Fatima Robinson.

Parkwood Entertainment, the entertainment company that Beyoncé founded, teamed up with IAM Entertainment, formed by CEO Sonal Vara-Parmar, who worked together with Tim Kelly, managing director at Atlantis The Royal, to present this once-in-a-lifetime unforgettable occasion.

The GRAMMY's most nominated artist (along with her husband JAY-Z) was raised sixteen feet into the air amidst one of the world's most distinctive performance fountains, Skyblaze, in an unforgettable finale scene set against the gorgeous background of Atlantis The Royal. A stirring performance of "Drunk in Love" amid a field of fire and water marked the show's conclusion.

Beyoncé was accompanied by her parents, relatives, and husband JAY-Z as she walked the runway wearing a wardrobe created by Atelier Zuhra from Dubai, Nicolas Jebran from Lebanon, Frolov from Ukraine, and Dolce & Gabbana.

Following the magnificent show, a fireworks and drone extravaganza lit up Dubai's newest landmark, paying homage to the 2008 display that introduced Atlantis The Palm to the world. Swedish House Mafia performed classics like "One" and "Don't You Worry Child" as the fireworks subsided and visitors partied till the wee hours of the morning.
