Banana Daddy's Midtown Location Is Here, and It's Doing Way More Than Soft Serve

Most people found out about Banana Daddy the way a lot of good things get discovered in Miami: late at night, through someone else's Instagram story. The brand built its following on banana-based soft serve and indulgent desserts, and that reputation stuck. But the new Midtown Miami location is quietly making the case that Banana Daddy has just as much to offer before noon.

The shop is now open in Midtown, and the morning menu is the thing worth talking about.

Wake Up With Daddy

The concept has a personality, and it leans into it. The brand's playful tone carries through everything, including the morning push, which they're calling "Wake Up with Daddy." The idea is simple: Banana Daddy isn't just a late-night dessert stop anymore. It's positioning itself as a full-day destination, opening early for the post-workout crowd, the morning walkers, and anyone who wants something better than a gas station coffee before their day gets going.

The Midtown location was designed with that in mind. It's a coffee shop, a bakery, and a dessert spot, all in one space, and the morning side of the menu holds its own.

Banana-forward menu, protein shakes included.

What's on the Menu

The coffee drinks lean into the banana-forward identity without going overboard. The Frozen Banana Coffee blends cold brew with banana milk and banana syrup into something creamy and energizing. The Coconut Iced Coffee goes a different direction, pairing cold brew with house-made coconut milk and Coco Lopez for a smooth, tropical finish. Both work as standalone reasons to stop in.

The protein shakes fill a specific gap that a lot of Miami coffee spots miss entirely. The Big Pump combines peanut butter, chocolate, banana, coconut milk, and protein into something that actually functions as a post-workout meal. One More Rep goes the matcha route, with coconut yogurt, maple syrup, and vanilla protein. They're designed for people who want something filling but don't want to feel like they just undid their morning workout.

The bakery side is scratch-made and rotates, which keeps things from getting stale (literally and otherwise). Current options include chocolate cherry scones, carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, ooey gooey butter cake, brownies, and rotating fruit crisps. Lighter options like granola and overnight oat parfaits round things out for anyone keeping it a little cleaner.

Worth noting: everything on the menu is gluten-free, and a significant portion of it is dairy-free as well.

Midtown's new daily morning habit.

Why Midtown Makes Sense

The Midtown Miami location puts Banana Daddy in a neighborhood that has a built-in morning crowd. It's walkable, close to gyms and parks, and surrounded by residents who want a real coffee option nearby. The dessert reputation gets people in the door, but the morning menu is what could turn Banana Daddy into a daily habit for people in the area.

The brand's voice is part of the draw too. It doesn't take itself too seriously, and in a city with no shortage of polished, concept-heavy food and beverage spots, that lightness is an actual differentiator. You can get a great scone and a cold brew here, and the place isn't going to make you feel like you need to dress up for it.

Banana Daddy's Midtown location is open now. If the desserts are what got them here, the morning menu might be what keeps them.
