Vicetone, the Dutch-born, US based music duo, has released their latest track "Dopamine Junkie," featuring singer/songwriter Ben Samama. The song is a nod to the feeling that music fans hold dear: losing themselves in the experience of the perfect song. The track starts with organic guitar instrumentals that lead into breezy melodies and undulating beats, combined with emotive vocals. "Dopamine Junkie" is the perfect upbeat anthem for the summer festival season, and a teaser for Vicetone's upcoming 4-track EP, set to be released this summer, which will be supported by Vicetone's Global EP-themed tour.
"This record is all about that rush or dopamine that overcomes you when the drop hits just right. Our goal was to have the melodies constantly entrancing you all throughout the song. We love the combination of the bassline, guitars, piano, and vocals to make a very groovy yet still Vicetone-sounding dance record." - Vicetone
Vicetone, consisting of Ruben den Boer and Victor Pool, have brought sophistication and imagination to all their music since their formation in 2012. They create emotionally charged dance music with attention to detail, which has led to over 1 billion combined streams across all platforms and global notoriety. Their debut track, "Harmony," landed them gigs around Europe and festivals worldwide, and their following grew exponentially. Vicetone's successes include "Something Strange," which hit #1 on SiriusXM's BPM channel, "Nevada" with over 212 million streams on Spotify, and "Astronomia," which became a viral hit and amassed almost 310 million streams on Spotify alone.
Their debut album, "Legacy," was released on April 2nd, 2021 via Monstercat, showcasing their most sonically ambitious work. This summer, they will release their EP titled "Departing Reality." Fans can look forward to more new music from Vicetone and the official release of "Dopamine Junkie" coming soon.
