Ten days after he stepped onstage in Madrid with Shakira, Bizarrap walked out of a Miami ceremony with a Billboard trophy. The Argentine producer and Daddy Yankee won Latin Rhythm Song of the Year at the 2026 Billboard Latin Music Awards for “Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 0/66,” according to Billboard’s winners list, which covered 47 categories across the Telemundo and Peacock broadcast.
The session has been collecting recognition all year. In January, Los40 México reported that the track returned the pair to number one on Latin Airplay. At the Premios Juventud, BMI noted, Bizarrap won Producer of the Year, and the same session took Best Urban Track. The Miami win adds a Billboard prize to a run that began with a radio chart.
Bizarrap Arrives in Miami Fresh From Shakira’s Madrid Finale
The award landed between two busy weeks. On October 12, Shakira closed her Madrid residency at Estadio Shakira, a temporary stadium built at Iberdrola Music, with a date her promoter billed as a farewell with friends, according to Publimetro. Bizarrap was named as a guest ahead of time, alongside Maluma, Beéle and Dani Martín, Perfil reported. La Tribuna put attendance at more than 55,000.
Bizarrap’s team says the two performed “BZRP Music Sessions #53,” the 2023 track whose lyric gave the tour its name. Their paths had crossed before. Shakira appeared in his 2024 Coachella set and used the moment to announce the tour, as RPP reported. By March, Forbes Colombia said, her Madrid run had already sold 450,000 tickets.
In Miami, the Latin Rhythm field was tight. The Bizarrap and Daddy Yankee session faced Feid’s “Se Lo Juro Mor,” J Balvin and Jay Wheeler’s “Si Te Vas,” and “LA VILLA” by Ryan Castro, Kapo and Gangsta. The same session was also a finalist for Latin Airplay Song of the Year, which went to Romeo Santos and Prince Royce for “Lokita Por Mí,” according to Hola! USA. Fuerza Regida led the night with eight awards, and Bad Bunny followed with seven.
Bizarrap Builds a Brand That Reaches Past the Studio
The producer’s profile now extends beyond records, according to his team. They say he became the first Argentine artist to lead an international collaboration with Adidas Originals, starting with the Forum2000 x BZRP collection and later adding a signature BZRP cap. His team also says he voiced a role in Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5 in both Latin American and Castilian Spanish.
The World Cup appears on that list too. Per his team, Bizarrap carried the official match ball onto the field before Argentina’s game against Cape Verde, then presented Lionel Messi with the Player of the Match trophy after Argentina beat Egypt. FAME has not independently confirmed these appearances.
The numbers attached to the Shakira collaboration also come from his camp. The team credits “BZRP Music Sessions #53” with more than 2 billion streams, three Latin Grammys and four Guinness World Records. The Sessions catalog includes Peso Pluma, Myke Towers, J Balvin, Rauw Alejandro and Young Miko, among others.
What the Win Says About the Sessions Format
The Sessions began as a YouTube series built around one producer, one studio and one guest. A Billboard trophy for a track from that format shows how far it has moved from the margins of the industry. The next marker arrives soon. The Latin Recording Academy plans to honor Daddy Yankee as its 2026 Person of the Year at a private gala in Las Vegas on November 11, according to Diario Las Américas. Bizarrap’s most recent session, built around that honoree, will likely be part of the conversation.
