Just six months after opening, Daniel’s, A Florida Steakhouse has earned a place in the 2025 Florida MICHELIN Guide. The announcement came during a ceremony at the Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort, marking a big moment for Fort Lauderdale’s growing food scene.

Daniel’s is now one of only five restaurants in Broward County—and among the first in Fort Lauderdale—to receive this recognition as part of the MICHELIN Guide’s first-ever expansion into the city.
A Milestone for Gioia Hospitality Group
This recognition also marks a dual achievement for Gioia Hospitality Group, which now has MICHELIN Guide-recommended restaurants in both Miami-Dade and Broward counties. Founder Thomas Angelo, who also co-owns Fiola Miami, called the distinction “an extraordinary honor” and emphasized the personal significance of building Daniel’s alongside his daughter Kassidy.
Local Ingredients Lead the Way
Culinary Director Daniel Ganem leads the kitchen with a menu rooted in local sourcing and seasonal ingredients. The spotlight is on dishes that celebrate Florida’s rich agricultural and coastal offerings—such as Loxahatchee Baby Romaine Basil Caesar, Florida Oyster Rockefeller, and a Florida grass-fed braised short rib with potato fonduta and mushrooms.
The restaurant’s steak program, developed by Ganem and Executive Chef Dayam Lopez, focuses on premium cuts from Florida, select U.S. ranches, and trusted international suppliers.
Elevated Dining, Grounded in Florida Identity
Daniel’s leans into its regional identity—not just in food, but also in its décor and drink list. Inside, guests will find art celebrating Florida Cowboys and historic scenes from Fort Lauderdale. Wine & Beverage Director Daniel Bishop curates a beverage program that features local beers and spirits alongside an acclaimed monthly wine dinner series with top wineries like Darioush and Chappellet.
More Than Just a Steakhouse
The restaurant is located at 620 South Federal Highway and includes a private dining space for up to 25 guests. It shares a building with D’s Sports Bar, a newly opened upscale sports bar by Gioia Hospitality Group, and the team is preparing to open another concept—La Sponda, a high-end Italian waterfront restaurant—later this year.
Daniel’s is open Tuesday to Sunday, with late-night hours until 11 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. Reservations and additional information can be found at www.danielssteak.com or on Instagram/Facebook at @danielssteak.
