In the bustling world of electronic music, burgeoning artist Marc Alex has been carefully tracing the footsteps of industry heavyweight, "el gordo," on social media for over a year. A few months ago, el gordo posted a call for fresh tracks on his Instagram stories, seeking to revitalize his show playlist. Seizing the opportunity, Marc took a bold step and responded, emailing him a collection of promising tunes, including "SOMETHINX," "GOZALO," "SOMETHINX EDIT," and the "WHAT SHE WANTS REMIX."
To Marc Alex's elation, his persistence paid off in a spectacular way during el gordo's recent gig at Brooklyn Mirage NYC. As the beats of "SOMETHINX" reverberated through the venue, Marc realized, with a thrill of disbelief, that his track was being showcased at the live event.
"SOMETHINX" is not just a tune churned out from an obscure studio; it's a remarkable collaboration with noted artist Andre Salmo from 2020. Salmo, a veteran in the electronic world, has an impressive portfolio featuring partnerships with the likes of Lee Foss and Jamie Jones. Inspired by the live feature, Marc Alex is now fervently working on a music video for "SOMETHINX," planning to unveil it to the world in early 2024.
Presently, Marc Alex is immersing himself in the production of his new album, "Nemesis," while also crafting an edit for Peggy Gou and orchestrating projects under his record label, Realta. Looking ahead, 2024 seems to be a pivotal year for Marc, with plans for an international tour and a homecoming to his native country after a one-and-a-half-year stint in the United States, making stops in Colombia, Costa Rica, and Peru.
A dedicated music producer for over nine years, Marc Alex harbors grand ambitions of gracing the stages of renowned festivals such as Tomorrowland, Circo Loco, and Ultra Music Fest. His passion for music is deeply rooted, cultivated from childhood by his parents. Interestingly, Marc's father, known as Marvin in the Ecuadorian music circles, enjoyed fame as a singer, managed at the time by Marc's mother, Raquel. It seems the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, as Marc and his spouse now mirror that dynamic, uniting both their personal and professional lives.
Together, the couple has inaugurated "Nightfall Experience," a venture based in Connecticut, aiming to bring the exclusive, fun-filled events synonymous with Miami and NYC to their local scene. This venture couples Marc Alex's rich background in music with a personal touch, promising a wave of immersive, high-energy events in the Connecticut nightlife scene.
As Marc Alex stands on the cusp of potentially career-defining moments, his journey underscores the harmonious blend of love, collaboration, and an unyielding pursuit of dreams, reflective of a family legacy steeped in musical tradition and entrepreneurial spirit.
