Venezuelan singer-songwriter Jav Jurado has released “Desamores,” the second single from his upcoming solo debut EP set to release in the coming months. This song follows “Una Vez Más,” a catchy and upbeat pop rock track, marking a new era for Jurado's musical journey.

“Desamores” showcases Jurado's musical versatility, shifting gears into a slow-tempo reggaetón with a more urban sound. The lyrics are relatable to women who have been through breakups, ultimately becoming more empowered and focused on themselves. The visualizer, directed by Joel De Leon aka JD, features model Diana Lemos playing a woman going through all the emotions after a heartbreak to put herself first.

The song was written by Jurado and Manuel Enrique Cortés and mixed by Eddie Ortega, known for his work with Eladio Carrion, Zion & Lennox, Arcangel, Rauw Alejando, and most recently “La Bachata” by Manuel Turizo. Grammy winner Mike Fuller was in charge of mastering.

“With ‘Desamores’ I wanted to take a moment and highlight the women who go through a breakup and come out stronger and more empowered. The new generation of women that are focusing on themselves and realize their best version is when they look at themselves in the mirror. I wanted to write something for them, to celebrate their independence and encourage them to continue living their best life,” said Jav Jurado.

Jurado has had a passion for music from a young age, enrolling in acoustic guitar classes at age 9 and later joining various rock groups in his native Venezuela before moving to Panama. As an international artist, he shared the stage with names such as Luis Fonsi, Mike Bahia, Ricky Martin, and Reik.

In 2020, Jurado began his solo career in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic. He took control of his work and destiny, resulting in six singles generating buzz and millions of streams across various platforms throughout 2020 and 2021. In 2022, Jurado moved to Miami, where he worked with top producers, engineers, and music industry professionals to bring his fans a new and unstoppable Jav Jurado.
