Effemar and the Swiss duo have teamed up for their latest track, "Catch Your Breath," featuring SJ Lawrence, which is LABRNTH's second release. The song is a deep progressive track that packs an emotional punch with its moody melodies and soulful vocals that will give listeners goosebumps. The production from Effemar is seamless, taking the listener on a journey from the track's groovy undertones and uplifting synth lines to its deep breakdown. The song is not only dancefloor-friendly but also bound to find its way to radio airwaves worldwide. This release comes after LABRNTH's successful launch earlier this year with "Darkness" from Fancy Inc and Chemical Surf, proving the label is off to a strong start. Fans can look forward to more fresh music from LABRNTH in the future.
"The song is about how life comes to a standstill when you lose someone you love for the first time. In moments of silence, my thoughts dwell on what they meant to me and what's now missing in my life. They taught me things no one else could, but I'm appreciative of their influence in my life." - Effemar
Effemar, the Swiss-bred duo comprised of Doane Allan and Julien Grosjean, entered the music scene in late 2020. Their debut single "Deep Sea" was released on the German label Selected and garnered three million streams within a month of its release. Their next two singles, "Saturday Night" and "Needing Space," achieved similar success, with several million streams in no time. The duo continued to release both vocal and instrumental tracks on their own imprint label, Aube, where they also collaborated with talented vocalists like Nina Carr and Swedish Red Elephant. One of the duo's unique features is recording the vocal parts themselves, which is how "Needing Space," "Voyage," and other songs were born. Effemar has performed live at venues around Lausanne and other picturesque spots in Switzerland, keeping their concerts intimate and discrete. In 2022, the duo hit another milestone by releasing "Ocean" on San Holo's independent label, bitbird, which immersed the project in an artist-friendly community and consolidated Effemar's position in the scene.
Later this year, Effemar released several singles on their imprint label, which ensured their debut appearance on the Spotify cover of the main electronic playlist "Electronic Rising," as well as regular placements in the same playlist and others such as Lowkey Tech, Afterhours, and Chill Tracks.
