Latin Music Legends Ivy Queen and Víctor Manuelle to Receive Special Recognition at PREMIO LO NUESTRO

Ivy Queen, a pioneer of Puerto Rican urban music, and Victor Manuelle, a three-time nominee for the Premio Lo Nuestro Lifetime Achievement Award, were each named this year's recipients of the Premio Lo Nuestro Legado Musical al Genero Urbano (Legacy of Urban Music Award) and Premio Lo Nuestro a la Trayectoria (Legacy of Urban Music Award). Manuelle will receive recognition for her three remarkable decades in Latin music, and "The Queen of Reggaeton" will be acknowledged for her role in empowering women and opening doors for other female singers in a traditionally male-dominated field.

The Premio Lo Nuestro Legado Musical honors musicians whose work has had a significant impact on their respective genres. Notable former winners include Alejandro Fernández and Los ngeles Azules. Ivy Queen will break down barriers this year by becoming the first woman to ever win the prestigious award in the show's history. A Premio Lo Nuestro a la Trayectoria will be given to Victor Manuelle in honor of his outstanding 30-year musical career. The honor has already been given to legendary people like Juan Gabriel, Marco Antonio Sols, Olga Taón, and Daddy Yankee.

PREMIO LO NUESTRO 2023, hosted by Alejandra Espinoza, Adrián Uribe, Paulina Rubio, and Sebastián Yatra, will be simulcast on Galavisión in the United States and Canal 5 in Mexico on Thursday, February 23 at 7 p.m. ET/ 6 p.m. CT on Univision. The names of the performers will be released later.
