The fall is for discovering new cozy spots to spend time in and tell all of your friends about. This month, I got to spend a weekend in the city and stopped by four of my new favorite restaurants. Not only was the food delicious but the vibes superb. Let’s get into it.
Citizens Of Soho
In the heart of lower Manhattan, Citizens of Soho is the must try brunch spot with your friends. This place isn't just for Sundays but any excuse you need to go out with the girls or take yourself out on a solo date. Featuring the yummiest avocado toast, delish banana bread, and unique dishes like the green goddess shakshuka. The staff was kind and incredibly generous, given the busy day we stopped by. With its high quality food, coffee, and cocktail, this is a must-stop-by.
Creatures Selina Rooftop
With the loveliest views of the Manhattan skyline, we really enjoyed our time at Creature Selina. This is the place you go with friends for fun rooftop drinks and small eats. Something to note, it is not very vegetarian friendly so if that’s your lifestyle, pick this place for evening drinks, not for dinner. We got to enjoy the Mezze Platter, the Heirloom Melon Salad, and the Greek Salad. The good vibes were the best part.
POST
In the low half of the East Village you may have passed by a sweet spot named POST without even realizing it. If you walk too fast, you’ll miss this must-try brunch spot. With a calm and quiet atmosphere, POST is perfect for any foodie. They have multiple vegan and vegetarian options, along with meat options for those who prefer. We enjoyed the POST breakfast, the two fluffy pancakes (probably top 5 pancakes I’ve ever had), and a side of potatoes. The coffee and matcha are honorable mentions as well. We love a spot that can do it all.
Anixi
Looking for high-end vegan eats? Anixi is the place. Everything about this Mediterranean fanfare is just right. Upon entering the establishment, the ambience is to die for, the staff is incredibly kind, and the vibes are simply immaculate. Every dish we bit into had immense amounts of flavors and the perfect texture. I suggest the Fire Roasted Eggplant dip Mezze, the ‘grilled chicken’ and Merguez kabob, and the Raspberry and Pistachio Baklava Cheesecake for the most delightful dessert. I seriously give this place five stars. Exceptional.
