Miami,Florida, January 6, 2023 - Yahritza y Su Esencia, one of the most talked-about new acts in regional Mexican music, have returned with a brand-new song titled "Cambiaste" today. All digital outlets now offer access to the song and its official music video; you may listen and watch there.
The song accentuates the unique sibling relationship that drives Yahritza y Su Esencia. A vocal melody with depth and emotion is accompanied by delicately plucked 12-string guitar and acoustic bass. The song "Cambiaste," which translates to "You Changed," unapologetically addresses the waves of personal transformation.
The trio travels through Mexico City in the video, which was shot by Christian Schmid Rincon, explaining the scene as they go. The image highlights the unique closeness between the siblings as well as the enchanted character and spirit of the city as they travel through the renowned Xochimilco canals on a trajinera.
YYSE is still in the news; Variety conducted a thorough interview with them, and Billboard featured them as one of its "Latin Artists on the Rise" list. According to Teen Vogue, Yahritza y Su Esencia are "breaking through a female voice in the genre" and were praised as "The TeensRevitalizing Regional Mexican Music for a New Generation."
In the meantime, the music video for 2022's "Inseparables" (with Ivan Cornejo) has received over 8 million views on YouTube and over 19.3 million streams on Spotify. "Martnez's lyrical voice sounds beyond her years," UPROXX said of the latter, "while Cornejo compliments her effectively with his alternative edge."
The group was notable for receiving two Latin GRAMMY® Award nominations last year. They were also nominated for Premios La Radio and Latin Billboard Music Awards. They have so far produced hundreds of millions of streams and developed a devoted following as the predecessors of 21st-century regional Mexican music.
