The world-renowned Museum of Graffiti is set to celebrate its fourth anniversary during the upcoming Art Basel, bringing an unprecedented schedule of new exhibitions, brand activations, and more. This year's celebration will be highlighted by the trailblazing LA-based artist MEAR ONE, who will open his solo exhibition entitled Metaphysical Surrealism on December 6, 2023. This event marks a significant moment in the artist’s career, transitioning from a graffiti artist to a master oil painter. The exhibition will also feature the return of the Mi Campo Artist Lounge on the Museum’s patio, where MEAR ONE and the graffiti community will enjoy signature cocktails, engage in interactive art programming and signings, and listen to celebrity DJ sets.

Berlin's 1UP Crew Curates New Exhibition

In addition, Berlin’s 1UP Crew will curate a new exhibition inside the Museum. This exhibit will showcase enlarged Polaroid photographs of various artists, taken by Martha Cooper and Nika Kramer. The lineup includes notable names like 1UP, 2Alas, Vhils, Mark Gonzales, Boo Johnson, Futura, Maya Hayuk, Futura, Eneri, Reds, and Revok. After being photographed with a Polaroid camera, these images will be enlarged and made available for the artists to hand embellish. This live painting event at the Museum on December 6 and 7, 2023, promises to be a unique experience for attendees.

Limited Edition Print Release Event

The culmination of this creative process will be the transformation of these hand-painted Polaroids into limited edition prints. These exclusive pieces will be signed and numbered, released at a special event at the Museum on December 8, 2023, at 1pm. This event offers art enthusiasts a rare opportunity to acquire a unique piece of this artistic collaboration.

The Museum of Graffiti's anniversary celebration promises to be a vibrant showcase of creativity, uniting artists and art lovers in an immersive and interactive environment.
