Lorde is in the home stretch. The New Zealand artist's UltraSound Tour wraps up with a run through Mexico and two nights at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, and if the sold-out notices already stacking up are any indication, anyone still on the fence about going should probably stop thinking about it.
The May 15 Kia Forum date is officially gone. A limited number of tickets were added for May 14 to meet demand. The May 1 show at the Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City is also sold out. Three dates remain with tickets still available: April 28 and 29 at the Auditorio Banamex in Monterrey, and the added May 14 Kia Forum show in Los Angeles.
The Final Run
The last stretch of the UltraSound Tour breaks into two legs with two different support acts.
In Mexico, Lorde is joined by Erika de Casier for all three dates. The Monterrey shows on April 28 and 29 at the Auditorio Banamex are the ones with tickets still on the table. Mexico City already sold through, which gives you a sense of how quickly this run is moving.
In Los Angeles, Smerz and Sophia Stel are on the bill for both Kia Forum nights. The May 15 show sold out, the May 14 date has limited tickets remaining. That's it for the UltraSound Tour in the United States.
Why It Matters
The UltraSound Tour has been one of the more talked-about runs of the year, both for the production and for what it represents for Lorde as a live artist. She doesn't tour constantly, which means each run carries more weight than the average arena cycle. Fans who have followed her since Pure Heroine or Melodrama know that a Lorde tour isn't something that comes around every season.
The Kia Forum in Los Angeles and the Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City are both major venues. Selling out nights at that level, and then adding dates that also move quickly, reflects a fanbase that shows up.
Remaining Dates
April 28, Auditorio Banamex, Monterrey, with Erika de Casier. April 29, same venue, same support. May 14, Kia Forum, Los Angeles, with Smerz and Sophia Stel. Those are the three. After May 15 in Los Angeles, the UltraSound Tour is done.
If any of those cities work for you, the time to move on tickets is now.
