When VOGUE Mexico and Paraiso teamed up to open Miami Swim Week 2025, subtlety was left at the door—and good riddance. On May 28, the Paraiso tent at Collins Park turned into a humid, high-fashion fever dream packed with Latin flavor, Miami glitterati, and enough media to make a publicist break out in hives. FAME had exclusive access, of course, because who else would they let in first?
The night’s runway belonged to a new wave of Latin-owned designers who weren’t just making swimwear—they were rewriting it. Sinesia Karol opened the show with a poetic mix of elegance and skin, followed by the bold and architectural energy of SER x Andrea Agudelo. Then came Castañer, putting espadrilles back in their rightful place: front-row summer essentials. Bee Surreal by Lola dropped pieces that were more art installation than outfit, and California Dream Montage gave the crowd a pastel fantasy that felt straight out of a slow-motion beach montage from the future.
We caught up with many friends like Rodner Figueroa, Llane, Cata Balzano, and more—each of them perfectly at home in a room buzzing with flashbulbs and fashion royalty.
The event wasn’t just a show—it was a statement. Miami’s who's who showed up in full glam: influencers, editors, stylists, even that one art dealer who always manages to get front row. Add in a sponsor lineup featuring Mini Cooper, Basil Hayden, La Croix, and Nautica, and the whole night had that rare combination of clout and cool. If anyone forgot who owns swimwear season, this was Paraiso’s way of reminding them—loud, proud, and fabulously Latin.
