Sanamama Opens Its First Boutique in Bay Harbor Islands

A jewelry store that also sells rose quartz benches and books sound bowl sessions is not the typical retail model for Kane Concourse, but Sanamama opened its doors there this spring betting that shoppers want more than a display case.

The Miami-based brand launched in 2024 as an online-only label before opening its first physical location, a 2,000-square-foot space at 1160 Kane Concourse, Suite 101, in Bay Harbor Islands. According to JCK, the store carries Sanamama's full range of 14k and 18k gold jewelry alongside rose quartz ritual bowls, crystal furniture, and gemstone sound bowls, and includes a room founder Gabi Torres calls a sound healing temple. The brand has drawn attention beyond Miami's jewelry circles too. Taylor Swift wore Sanamama's Inner-Spaceship ring in the video for "The Fate of Ophelia," from her 2025 album The Life of a Showgirl, and the label has also been spotted on Madelyn Cline and Sarah Michelle Gellar.

Sanamama's Bet on Ritual Over Retail

Torres, who worked previously as a yoga teacher and art therapist, designed the boutique to function less like a showroom and more like a home. She told Haute Living the goal was for the space to feel grounded rather than transactional, describing it as somewhere clients could connect with what they're drawn to rather than simply browse. The opening date was not incidental. Torres told JCK the launch was timed to the eve of a new moon, framing it as the start of a new cycle for the brand.

The inventory reflects that pairing of commerce and concept. Jewelry pieces sit next to crystal furniture built by local maker Carved Woodworks, according to JCK, which reported that Torres wanted displays that could be reconfigured for events while still forming distinct geometric shapes. The Sanctuary also operates as Miami's only retail location for Crystal Tones sound bowls, giving sound facilitators and collectors a place to test instruments before buying them.

A Grand Opening Built for Bay Harbor Islands

The April 16 launch party drew a guest list that stretched beyond the jewelry world. According to World Red Eye, attendees included NBA player D'Angelo Russell, model Kate Love, NBC anchor Kristin Sanchez, and both Bal Harbour Mayor Seth Salver and Bay Harbor Islands Mayor Isaac Salver. Love wore Sanamama's Father Sun Earth Mother earrings, valued at $22,000, while guests drank adaptogenic elixirs and listened to a set from DJ Lincoln Jesser.

Torres has said the store's location, in her own neighborhood, was a deliberate choice rather than a convenience. She described Bay Harbor Islands to Haute Living as a place where she wanted to introduce something different from the surrounding retail landscape, calling the concept magickal in her own words. That framing sets Sanamama apart from the area's more conventional fine jewelry storefronts, positioning it closer to the wellness retail concepts that have expanded across Miami in recent years.

Whether that model scales beyond a single location remains to be seen. For now, Sanamama's bet is that shoppers in South Florida's luxury market are willing to book a sound bowl session alongside a jewelry consultation, and that the line between a boutique and a wellness space is thinner than the industry has assumed.
