VP Plaza España Design - A Review

VP Plaza España Design is located close to Gran Via and the Royal Palace. Its location offers a great variety of public transportation and tourist attractions. The hotel features an amazing art collection throughout its walls along with beautiful meeting and event spaces. VP Plaza España Design prides itself in being one of the first sustainable hotels in Spain. By far, it is one of the most elegant hotels in Madrid…let me explain.

Initial Impression

I was initially impressed by the VP Plaza España Design hotel's sleek appearance when I arrived. This hotel is conveniently situated in the heart of Madrid’s Plaza de España. The modern decor and warm environment in the foyer gave me the feeling that my stay was going to be memorable.

The Staff

The hotel's attentive and welcoming staff is without a doubt one of its best qualities. I received excellent service and a warm welcome from the moment I checked in. The staff members went above and beyond to see to it that all of my needs were satisfied, providing useful tips for seeing the city and guaranteeing a comfortable stay. Even better, I was given a private tour of the hotel.

The Room

The rooms of VP Plaza España Design are a wonderful depiction of elegance and comfort throughout the space. The room I was provided was really spacious, tastefully designed with contemporary furnishings, and included every convenience a visitor could ask for. From a sewing kit for a quick fix to an extra toothbrush if you forgot yours, all of the essentials were at your disposal. The comfortable bed made for a peaceful night's sleep, and the tastefully decorated bathroom contributed to the overall feeling of luxury in the room.

The Rooftop

The stunning rooftop terrace and seasonal pool is definitely one of the standout features of the hotel. It was the ideal place to relax and take in the energy of central Madrid through the panoramic views it offers. The rooftop was a peaceful retreat from the commotion of the city below, and guests could take advantage of it in a variety of ways, including lounging in the sun, sipping cocktails by the pool, and more.

Ginkgo Restaurante & Sky Bar

Ginkgo Restaurante & Sky Bar, located within VP Plaza España Design, provides guests with an unforgettable dining experience while also providing spectacular panoramic views of central Madrid. Their combination of Spanish and Mediterranean cuisine demonstrates both innovative and traditional approaches to the culinary arts. Generously, I was shown a specialized vegetarian menu, perfect for any guest. The careful preparation of the dishes and the artistic way in which they were presented are clear indicators of the restaurant's dedication to providing attentive service. The atmosphere exudes refinement, and the diligent staff enriches the dining experience no matter where you choose to conduct your eating—indoors or out on the terrace.

What Stood Out?

During my time at the VP Plaza España Design, besides the hotel’s dedication to providing excellent service in every possible way, the one thing that stood out the most was “The Waterfall” sculpture by artist Pere Gifre which is located under the glass floor of the rooftop pool. It is very evident that this hotel takes great pride in delivering a unique and amazing experience for its guests, as evidenced by the impeccable cleanliness, innovative design, and the exceptional service that is provided.

Would I Recommend It?

I would recommend VP Plaza España Design to anyone traveling to Madrid without any chance of a doubt. This hotel provides the ideal balance of luxury, sophistication, and convenience for guests, regardless of whether they are there on business or for pleasure. Its well-appointed rooms, attentive service, gorgeous rooftop terrace and Ginkgo Restaurante & Sky Bar make it a standout choice for an exceptional stay in the heart of the Spanish capital city. Its position in the center of the city also makes it a plus. My time spent at the VP Plaza España Design was nothing short of amazing, and I can't wait until my next trip to Madrid so that I can visit again.
